If your child has a dental emergency, stay calm and call our office at 213-529-4010. Our team keeps time open for urgent visits when possible, including toothaches and sudden dental problems. Availability varies, so please call first.

If your child has a serious injury, trouble breathing, heavy bleeding that will not stop, or facial swelling affecting the eyes or breathing, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Common Kids Dental Emergencies

Toothaches, knocked-out or chipped teeth, broken braces wires, and swelling around a tooth are common reasons parents call.

For a knocked-out permanent tooth, handle it by the top (not the root), keep it moist in milk, and call right away. Do not try to put a baby tooth back in. Treatment may include bonding, pulp therapy, or an extraction.

We keep time for urgent visits when possible. Please call 213-529-4010 first so our team can guide you.

Our office is open Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. For serious injuries after hours, go to an emergency room.

Rinse with warm water, gently floss to remove trapped food, and call our office. Do not put aspirin on the gums.

A knocked-out or broken tooth, severe toothache, swelling, or an injury to the mouth are reasons to call right away.

Keep a permanent tooth moist in cold milk if you can’t put it back in the socket, and call a dentist immediately. Never put a baby tooth back in.

Follow the label and your pediatrician’s guidance for your child’s age, and call our office for an evaluation.
