What Is Pulp Therapy?

Pulp therapy treats the inner part of a tooth, called the pulp, when decay or injury reaches it. The pulp contains nerves and blood vessels. It is sometimes called a “baby root canal.”

Signs a Tooth May Need Pulp Therapy

Signs can include lingering tooth pain, sensitivity, swelling, or a deep cavity found at an exam. Only a dental evaluation can confirm what a tooth needs.
