What Happens at the Evaluation?

The dentist looks at the bite, spacing, jaw growth, and how teeth are erupting. X-rays may be recommended.

If treatment is needed later, options may include braces or Invisalign. Early loss of a baby tooth may call for a space maintainer.

Early Evaluation Questions

An evaluation at 6 is about monitoring. It does not always mean treatment.

Crowding, spacing, crossbites, and jaw growth concerns may be spotted early.

The dentist will recommend a schedule based on what they see.

Bring your insurance information and any recent dental X-rays or records if you have them.

The dentist may recommend X-rays to see how teeth and jaws are developing.

The dentist will explain whether to monitor growth, plan treatment later, or consider early treatment.
