Sedation dentistry and General Anesthesia
Patients may benefit from sedation and General Anesthesia for their dental work due to a variety of reasons. These include anxiety and phobia about dental treatments and needles, need for extensive dental work or more invasive procedures, inability to comply with the necessary dental treatments, altered pain threshold, difficulty getting numb, an overactive gag reflex, and significant medical conditions. You and your child will be assessed for the need of sedation and General Anesthesia during your evaluation visit. Various forms of sedation including Nitrous Oxide sedation and General anesthesia are covered by Insurances including Medical and made available at our office to facilitate with the dental treatments.
